| Physical Description | At a petite 4’10” she is the opposite of physically intimidating. She’s no weakling, being able to drag around shuttle parts, but she wouldn’t win many boxing matches. She relies on being fast, agile and too sweet to be mad at in the first place. She’s cute, bordering on adorable, trim and proportioned. There isn’t a freckle on her, just smudges from her work. She prefers her mechanic's coveralls to her uniform any day of the week. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Cid answers the question that has plagued mankind for centuries: "What would happen if you turned a golden retriever into an engineer?" She is perpetually optimistic, nearly always cheery and if something does dampen her spirits, she's quickly able to shrug it off because there's something good about it to be focused on. She's happiest when she has a wrench in her hand and a shuttle in front of her. Otherwise, she enjoys tinkering with her own inventions in her spare time. This laser-focus on work comes at a price as she doesn't read people well at all, and forgets basics like eating and a social life, and must usually be dragged somewhere by her friends. | |

| Personal History | In 2269, Mantilles Colony, the only inhabited planet in the Pallas 14 system, was threatened by a sentient cloud that was intent on consuming the planet. Planetary Governor Bob Wesley kept the population calm, and, thanks to his level head, five thousand children were evacuated from the planet. When Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise managed to make contact with the cloud and persuade it to spare the planet, the evacuated children were returned and 4999 of them were claimed by their parents. One child, however, was unclaimed. Her identification tag listed her as Chloe Illaria Delacroix, but there was no family with that surname in the colony. Tourists were rare on Mantilles, but no one who was listed as traveling there shared that name either, and no adult came to claim her. Being a small planet on the edge of the Federation, not to mention the galaxy, there was no orphanage facilities on the planet, so she was eventually taken to a facility on Mars. She grew up cared for and healthy, but was always separate from the other children. While her dormmates were playing with dolls and model starships, she was taking them apart and learning how they work. When the group was taken on a tour of the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yard, she disappeared from the tour and was found an hour later inside a half-disassembled shuttle, looking over the deuterium injectors. She began repairing things around the orphanage and while her good nature and cheery personality earned her friends, she never maintained many friendships as they were adopted, or finally struck out on their own. People came and go, she was just always there repairing the broken-down machines. When she turned fifteen, the head of the group home explained to her that she would need to decide what she wanted to do once she turned sixteen and was ready to leave the orphanage. Cid had no idea but thought she'd be happy at the fleet yard. She was told that joining Starfleet would require years of Academy training, and while her self-taught engineering was a good start, it would be some time before she was an officer. As a way around the issue, she signed on as an Enlisted Person and was put to work repairing shuttles in the yard. Signing on at sixteen, she was apprenticed to a repair technician and began assembling ships. After four years she was done apprenticing and was leading her own group of repair techs. She loved Mars, but wanted to try repairing other types of ships and other technology, and decided to join up with a starship. |
