Weakness: Rigid: Clay has been described in his FITREPs as “Rigid”. While normally a good thing for a Security Force Officer, this has led to personal problems in terms of maintaining relationships with others, specifically his ex-wife Dana, who cleaned him out during the divorce. |

| Personal History | Clay McEntrye was born in Dallas on 19th of November 2254 to Tobias and Kris McEntyre. The McEntyre’s being a military family with deep roots in Federation Service, dating back to before the Federation was founded. Clay’s ancestors were MACO officers and Enlisted personnel. He does have family in the service today, though they are Medical Officers and Surgeons, mainly on his Uncle’s side of the family. Growing up, Clay was inspired by his family’s legacy, and spent his childhood years learning proper discipline, weapons handling, and self-reliance, skills useful for a future soldier of the Federation. His father, Tobias, did not understand this as a Professor of Philosophy. His mother, Kristan, did, having served as an Intelligence and Security Officer on several starships and Deep Space Outposts. She nurtured the budding future officer, teaching him the in’s and out’s of Starfleet, and helping him with his studies and exams to qualify for a slot at West Point when Clay expressed an interest in joining the Ground Forces. Clay was accepted with high honors to Starfleet’s West Point Security Officers Academy in 2272, having achieved remarkable scores in his High School classes and admission exams. He trained harder than any recruit at West Point, impressing his instructors with his commitment to the Force, and his willingness to go above and beyond for his beliefs. Upon his senior graduation from West Point, he asked to remain to continue his studies for a double masters in Military History and Defense and Strategic Studies, graduating in the top of his class. As an Ensign, he is given extensive training in combat tactics, Zero Gravity Combat and Hand to Hand Combat training against Klingon Tactics to which during his time on K-9 and the Triangle Region in general, serves him well. He proves an exemplary officer in his field. His commanding officers note his dedication to duty, the weight of his legacy as a McEntyre influencing some of his career choices, notably a deployment to the new Spacedock as a Security Company Commander and on the front lines of the Klingon-Federation Cold War on the U.S.S. Sakura and Tigerfish II. In almost 15 years of service, he has shown an aptitude for leadership, command and the initiative on several occasions to take charge to bring his people home and succeed on mission. This has been noted in his service on Earth Spacedock as the Commander of Earth Spacedock Security and his postings on starships where he trained his men in small team tactics and hand to hand combat against superior forces and asymmetrical warfare. |
