In order to counter these latest Klingon moves, the Federation has decided that it needs to improve relations with the nearby powers that exist between Federation and Klingon space. To that end, the Ark Royal has been dispatched to the planet Kannok, on the frontier of the Drenkul Republic, in order to broker some kind of defense and intelligence sharing partnership.

Ensign Larose and Chief Summers have reminded me that today is an Earth holiday called ‘Halloween’. I recall from past assignments that Halloween festivities usually brought crewmates together, improving morale and a sense of camaraderie. I have yet to understand the nuances of it, but the results speak for themselves. I have therefore requested that the two of them host a costume party in the Deck Seven Recreation Lounge.
