USS Ark Royal NCC-1791 is a Constitution-class Heavy Cruiser built at the San Francisco Fleet Yards in 2268, one year after the Organian Peace Treaty. Ten years later it underwent a refit to the Enterprise-subclass.
In 2290 it was sent to Sector 262, to ensure Starfleet had a stronger presence in the region.
